Technician training

Who it was designed for

Technicians developing specific survey skills after or alongside required training; administrators reviewing aggregate course participation.

Technicians see their own courses, attempts and badges. Administrators see aggregate statistics and user badges. Clients cannot access course endpoints.

What it does

The optional catalog contains 24 self-paced courses covering drone capture, survey photographs, roof and attic evidence, storage scouting, safety awareness and communication.

Lessons save progress to the technician’s account. After all lessons are marked read, the course quiz unlocks; completion earns that course’s badge.

Task-focused refreshers give technicians a practical way to revisit the evidence a designer or reviewer needs. Optional courses do not block field work.

How it fits your workflow

STEP 1

Choose a skill

Open Academy courses and select a topic relevant to the work you need to improve.

STEP 2

Complete the lessons

Read the examples and checklist guidance; your lesson progress saves to your account.

STEP 3

Check understanding

Take the course quiz, review its explanations and earn the completion badge on passing.

Illustrated workflow. These cards explain the process; they are not screenshots of a customer project.

The practical value

Task-focused refreshers give technicians a practical way to revisit the evidence a designer or reviewer needs. Optional courses do not block field work.

A concrete use case

A technician reviewing a photo fix list chooses the photo-quality course, checks the capture examples and practices producing readable evidence on the next survey.

Requirements and limits

The current course quiz requires every answer to be correct. A failed attempt has a ten-minute retake wait. Retakes after passing are available for practice.

Badges represent completion of Solar Survey AI training; they are not professional licenses or third-party accreditation.

Course guidance does not replace the applicable safety program, adopted code, manufacturer instructions or FAA requirements. Commercial work still follows the separate required certification track.
