Site-Specific Solar Survey Support

A survey question needs its site context so the support team can understand which job and evidence require attention.

Client & survey

Who it was designed for

Installer company users asking Solar Survey AI about their own visible surveys.

Use Messages in your company portal and choose Message Support. Select one of your company’s visible sites; this opens its support conversation even before the first message.

What it does

Start a support thread from the client Messages screen by selecting the site your question concerns. The conversation stays attached to that job rather than requiring the support team to infer a site from a separate message.

Replies appear in the same conversation with a numbered Solar Survey AI Support label. The number identifies a support participant consistently; it does not expose their personal profile or technician contact details.

An in-app notice alerts you to a reply. Email notifications follow your settings and the configured delivery service; an in-app conversation is not proof that an external email reached an inbox.

Where a job has the configured CrewLink connection, the released message mirror can copy supported conversation activity into its linked CrewLink context. This is a provider-dependent handoff, not a second public channel or a guarantee that every external conversation is imported.

Release review

Reviewed October 13, 2026. This guide covers the released installer web workflow. Company permissions, source availability and delivery requirements still apply.

How it fits your workflow

STEP 1

Choose the site

Open Message Support and confirm which job the question concerns.

STEP 2

Explain the issue

Describe the relevant photo, missing item or visit question; include the survey reference when helpful.

STEP 3

Continue in context

Read the reply and keep follow-up questions in the same site thread.

Illustrated workflow. These cards explain the process; they are not screenshots of a customer project.

The practical value

Keeping the conversation with the survey gives operations and design a shared reference for a correction, download question or scheduling issue.

A concrete use case

An installer cannot find an electrical photo needed for design. They select that site in Message Support and name the missing view. Support responds in the site conversation so the next reviewer can follow the same question.

Requirements and limits

Clients can write only in their own company’s site support channel. Technician channels, internal conversations, direct messages, groups and staff directories are not exposed.

A site must exist and be visible to your account. A company-wide conversation without a site is not part of this release.

Numbered support labels do not promise a response time or replace the service arrangements for your project. Do not treat a question as resolved until the team confirms the required action.

Provider mirroring depends on the linked job, enabled connection and successful sync. It does not grant access to another company’s messages or establish external delivery.
