Installer Survey Scheduling

Installer teams need to request a site visit with the correct address, service and local time, then follow changes in one workspace.

Client & survey

Who it was designed for

Authorized installer company users arranging Solar Survey AI visits, and staff coordinating the schedule.

Booking requires a configured company connection and an enabled service. Open Schedule a service in your company portal; available choices follow your company’s service allowlist and coverage.

What it does

Enter the site address, homeowner contact information, service and access notes. Address suggestions can help select a location; check the full address before continuing, especially for a new build or a unit within a shared property.

Choose from the open times supplied by the scheduling provider. The time step offers 1-, 5-, 15-, 30- and 60-minute views; a finer view changes how available starts are displayed, not the duration of the survey or the capacity of the team.

Review the date and time in the site’s time zone before confirming. When your own time zone differs, the confirmation explains both. A time can be refused if capacity changes; only the successful booking response establishes the visit.

When the site has no available time or needs team routing, submit preferred days as a visit request. An admin-routed commercial service is a request for scheduling review, not an instantly confirmed appointment.

The job’s Site visit card records the visit status and timeline. Eligible client users can reschedule or cancel outside the applicable cutoff; contact support for a change inside that window.

Release review

Reviewed October 13, 2026. This guide covers the released installer web workflow. Company permissions, source availability and delivery requirements still apply.

How it fits your workflow

STEP 1

Provide the site details

Select your permitted service, check the address and give the access information the field team needs.

STEP 2

Review a time or request

Choose an open time in the site’s zone, or send preferred days when a visit needs team scheduling.

STEP 3

Confirm and follow the visit

Check the booking result, then use the job card to follow status or request a permitted change.

Illustrated workflow. These cards explain the process; they are not screenshots of a customer project.

The practical value

Scheduling beside the survey keeps visit details and captured evidence tied to the same site. A request, booking, field visit and delivered report remain distinct steps.

A concrete use case

An installer in Central time books an Eastern-time site. They review both time labels, confirm the available slot and follow the Site visit card. A separate commercial request waits for the team to assign a suitable time and technician.

Requirements and limits

Client times start on the next business day under the current scheduling rules. Admins have separate same-day and manual-time controls; these do not guarantee same-day service or availability.

Client reschedule and cancellation normally require more than 24 hours before the visit. The scheduling office’s returned cutoff governs the action; contact support when the window has closed.

A request is not a booking. Service-area coverage, company configuration, provider capacity and acceptance still apply.

The installer portal does not display technician identities or booking prices. The scheduling workflow does not promise automatic homeowner texts or emails.

Booking a visit does not promise a particular completion date, delivered report or permit approval. Those depend on the actual survey and review workflow.
