Client Site Visit Tracking

Installer operations need a clear view of today’s visits without seeing unrelated jobs or private technician details.

Client & survey

Who it was designed for

Installer company users following their own visits and staff coordinating field operations.

Open Live visits in an authorized company portal. The board shows your company’s permitted visit data; live positions depend on the provider feed and the server’s location-sharing setting.

What it does

The Live visits board brings together today’s visit statuses, a map, timeline and summary counts. Search by homeowner or address, and filter by state or visit status to focus the view.

Anonymous Technician 1, Technician 2 and similar rows distinguish assigned vehicles within the current view. These numbers can change between refreshes; they are not a staff directory or permanent technician identifiers.

When location sharing is enabled, the latest provider position can appear while a technician is en route to your visit or between two visits for your company. The position is rounded to about 50 meters and is hidden once the technician is on site.

Positions are also hidden while working for another company, after your final visit, near a home base or when the fix is too old. Only a current point is shown, not a trail of where a technician has been.

An admin’s dispatch view has separate operational controls and broader authorized context. The client board retains company isolation rather than copying the staff view’s identity and location detail.

Release review

Reviewed October 13, 2026. This guide covers the released installer web workflow. Company permissions, source availability and delivery requirements still apply.

How it fits your workflow

STEP 1

Open your visit board

Use Live visits and find today’s site by homeowner or address.

STEP 2

Read the current status

Check the timeline and available en-route information; distinguish a status update from a live position.

STEP 3

Follow up when needed

Use the job card and site support thread if a visit needs clarification or a scheduling change.

Illustrated workflow. These cards explain the process; they are not screenshots of a customer project.

The practical value

A company-scoped visit view helps operations plan access and communicate internally while preserving field-team privacy.

A concrete use case

An installer sees a rounded truck position approaching its first site. After arrival the board shows On site without coordinates. Later, when the technician heads to another company’s work, the installer no longer sees that position.

Requirements and limits

The board is limited to your company’s visits. Technician names, personal contact information and location history are not exposed.

A live feed can be stale, absent or unavailable. A missing truck marker does not prove that a technician has stopped or that a visit failed.

Only eligible provider locations are shared. Locations recorded by the Solar Survey AI field app retain their separate consent and access limits.

ETAs, lateness indicators and map positions support coordination; they are not arrival guarantees, proof of completed fieldwork or a delivered survey.

Street and satellite basemaps depend on their providers. A fallback map does not replace a missing location feed or create a new observation.
