3D Site and Photo Maps

A photo list alone makes it difficult to understand where the images relate to the site.

Client & survey

Who it was designed for

Authorized staff and clients reviewing site context and photo locations.

Available to authorized users of the job’s own company. Client report and model access follows delivery status; signing in does not expose another company’s projects.

What it does

Signed-in admin job maps and client survey photo maps combine satellite imagery with semi-transparent 3D buildings where Mapbox coverage is available. See roofs, roads and landscaping beneath the building overlay. Zoom, rotate and tilt around the site, open numbered photo markers in the image viewer, recenter or go fullscreen.

How it fits your workflow

STEP 1

Open the map

Use the signed-in job or survey photo map.

STEP 2

Explore context

Zoom, rotate and tilt the imagery and approximate building overlay.

STEP 3

Open a photograph

Select a numbered marker and review its linked image.

Illustrated workflow. These cards explain the process; they are not screenshots of a customer project.

The practical value

Numbered photo markers and an adjustable contextual map help the viewer navigate the evidence. Keeping contextual buildings separate from measured geometry prevents them from being used as survey dimensions.

A concrete use case

A client rotates the site map, opens a numbered marker in the photo viewer and then recenters to understand its position relative to the property.

Requirements and limits

Mapbox buildings are approximate contextual data; coverage and detail depend on the provider.

They are not measured roof geometry, drone photogrammetry or photorealistic reconstruction.
